Recette Cookies d'Automne

Autumn Cookies Recipe

Cold season means cosy blanket, hot chaï latte, sparkling candles, mushroom fuzzy socks, walks in the woods and… Cookies of course!
Nothing better than turning the oven on to warm up your home and your loved one’s hearts (how poetic). This year, we went for seasonal cookies, matching our beloved mushroom hair claw!

Let’s get ready for the favorite tradition of Juliette, founder of Coucou Suzette, who loves to make shortbreads to give to her family or work team.

For this recipe, we need:

  • 130g of salted butter
  • 260g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 5 small handfuls of brown sugar
  • 3 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of ginger powder
  • some water to make the dough hold together

Knead! Knead!

When you get a nice and smooth dough, spread it on a tray (1cm thick) and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour (she needs her me-time).

Then, preheat the oven at 180°c and meanwhile, shape the cookies with cutters, or simply using a sharp knife or a toothpick for more creativity. Once they are done, cook for 15 minutes.

Now, the fun part! Decorate them with icing pens and put them in a cute box or in a bag with a ribbon to give to your loved ones… Well, if there are any left!

Bon appétit!
