Coucou Suzette was proudly born in Paris in 2016! It was about time to dedicate a collection to French culture and gastronomy.
That's how the "Douce France" collection came about: in a desire to return to our sweet childhood memories, full of fresh baguettes half eaten on the way back home, family breakfasts with croissants & toasts, and after-school snacks filled with chocolate pastries.
For the shoot, the vibe was obvious to us: play the full French card, and have fun with our beloved clichés!
We headed north of Paris to sit on the outside of a brasserie and bring our typical French chic to life.
French actress Mariama Gueye poses with her most beautiful smile and impeccable jackets, reading her newspaper with an espresso, or blowing out the candles of her birthday cheese cake (literally) with extra baguette barrettes and pencil cases. If you look hard enough, you can also find her in the streets of Paris, on a date with her favorite wine claw clip...
Vincent, in the role of the café waiter, readjusts his bow tie and makes sure everyone is generously served with croissants. All with that inimitable nonchalance we know so well in the capital, don't we.
Between shifts, he swaps his jacket for a Bread fanny pack or Croissant socks and plays around in the kiosks of Parisian squares (stunts performed by a professional, not to be reproduced at home).
Last but not least, the charismatic Agnès, already stunning in the latest Woof collection photoshoot, is like a fish in water in her lace gloves, ready to devour the edible decorations and walk the streets of Paris with her most beautiful religieuse accessories.
