BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE ONCE UPON A TIME PHOTOSHOOT
It’s time for one of our favorite photoshoots of the year: our autumn photoshoot, of course!
In the spotlight this season is the Once Upon a Time collection, inspired by the fairy tales we grew up with. Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Snow White, The Princess and the Pea… So many heroines who shaped our childhood, and whom we wanted to pay tribute to through Coucou Suzette’s new accessories: cheeky little hedgehogs, proud foxes, pastel flowers, and perfectly ripe fruits.
For this countryside photoshoot, we headed to one of our favorite places in the world: Normandy, the beloved home region of Juliette, Coucou Suzette’s founder. With its half-timbered houses, lush countryside, and secret, fairytale-like spots, it was the perfect setting for our cozy little dose of magic!
For the first day of the photoshoot, we headed to the most charming of seaside resorts. A town that may be small in size but is huge in charm, where Laura Travelbook posed as though she had just welcomed us into her very own enchanted village. With a pink flower hair claw in her hair, a leaf shopping bag over her shoulder, and pear socks on her feet, she was perfectly in her element. And between shots, she pulled out her Woodland Tale mirror to read the wonderful story hidden inside…
Later, it was time for Juliette and her beloved four-legged sidekick, Lili, to take center stage. Both were dressed for autumn: a mini pumpkin hair claw clip for one, and maple leaf earrings for the other. Of course, we couldn’t resist giving the horses a little cuddle and a carrot along the way.
On day two, our models Flora and Léa joined us to take the fairytale magic to the next level! Flora posed by an ivy-covered window to become Rapunzel for the day: a whole meter of added hair, with mini hedgehog, fig, mushroom and chestnut hair clips scattered all the way down. Just like that, our fairytale heroine came to life before our eyes.
As for Léa, she switched between different sets: one moment in the garden, posing on her stack of mattresses (perfect for sneaking in a quick nap!), the next in the forest, cuddling her beloved dog or surrounded by red apple hair claw clips she couldn’t quite decide whether to take a bite out of.
Once the photoshoot was wrapped, it was time to pack everything away! After all those emotions, we definitely needed a cup of tea and a good seasonal puzzle to recover…
