Hema x Coucou Suzette

In France, you cannot host a party without going to Hema first! We are obsessed with this Dutch store-chain for their paper garlands, colorful balloons, pointed hats but also their decorations making our interiors look fabulous!


Juliette, the founder of Coucou Suzette, was super excited when Hema asked her to create a series of cute illustrations. The themes: the magical celebrations Juliette loved since she was a kid such as Halloween, Saint Nicholas's day and Christmas. Yay!

Hema made many products with these illustrations:gift wraps, cups, straws, patterned tablecloths, cards, hair accessories, garlands, sickers…

1. Halloween

These creations were covered in friendly spiders, relaxed bats and cats dressed as ghosts for Halloween.

For Saint Nicholas's day, we had a big beard man with his skate ready to deliver some gifts.

Until then, Juliette was used to drawing only to make her own creations - this collab made her a proper illustrator for the very first time.How cool to see her art on objects she didn’t create!
